The calculator supports multiple cyclone design families and methods, including high-efficiency, conventional, and high-capacity configurations. Based on the selected family and method, it calculates the principal cyclone dimensions from your process inputs for preliminary engineering evaluation and reporting.
Process inputs required
The calculator uses user-defined gas data, particle properties, particle size distribution, and optional off-design conditions to estimate cyclone dimensions and expected performance. Inputs include gas flow, inlet velocity, temperature, pressure, gas density, viscosity, fan efficiency, particle density, concentration, and mass distribution by particle size range.
Outputs and report traceability
The report summarizes design inputs, cyclone family and method, calculated dimensions, pressure drop, estimated efficiency, fan power, dimensional sketch, cost references, off-design conditions, fractional efficiency, warnings, and validation notes. Results are formatted for technical review, internal documentation, and preliminary engineering reporting.
